Patty, a fiercely independent woman in her eighties, has invited her recently divorced grandson, James, to lodge with her. As Patty’s physical abilities deteriorate, she begins to rely on James for help, but struggles with her loss of agency and control.

Tony is a filmmaker whose films explore family histories, aging, and sense of place. His work has played at such festivals as TIFF, SXSW, VIFF, and DOXA, among others. He is based in Vancouver on the ancestral, unceded territories of the xwməθkwəyə̓ m (Musqueam),Sḵwxw̱ ú7mesh(Squamish),andsəl̓ílwətaʔɬ(Tsleil-Waututh)Nations.
